Kedwell’s Reign Begins with a Bang as Rams Edge Past Margate

The Rams pulled off an eye catching win against play off chasing Margate with a 1-0 win at The Mayfield.

Danny Kedwell’s first game in charge got off to a sweet start with just seven minutes on the clock. Brandon Pierrick’s whipped corner sailed straight in to put Croydon in front.

The Rams limited Margate to very minimal clear cut chances in the first half.

Four minutes into the second half, Kadell Daniel raced through on goal. The away keeper came rushing out and his mistimed challenge floored Daniel when clean through. The referee brandished a red card and the Rams really started to turn the screw with their man advantage.

They squandered chances to extend their lead. Both Shay Brennan and David Omilabu were foiled by Margate’s substitute keeper. But Tangara’s goal was rarely threatened in the second half and the Rams clinched a 1-0 win
