Croydon Athletic Fights Back for Hard-Earned Draw Against Littlehampton Town

A challenge in the box was deemed clean by the referee, but despite a brilliant save from Tangara, the rebound fell to Pamment, who made no mistake to double the visitors’ lead.

However, Croydon responded brightly, with Pierrick delivering a stunning strike from distance to halve the deficit. With renewed energy, the home side pressed hard for an equaliser. The breakthrough finally came in the dying moments of normal time when McCarthy soared above the defence to nod in from a corner at the back post, bringing the score to 2-2.

As the match drew to a close, tempers flared, leading to a brief confrontation, but neither side managed to create any more clear-cut chances. The referee’s whistle marked the end of the match, with Croydon demonstrating great resilience to earn a valuable point. While the boys showed commendable grit in their comeback, they may feel slightly aggrieved not to have taken all three points from the encounter.
