We’re pleased to announce the signing of Makhi Johnson Reid, a promising young midfielder who joins the club ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The 20-year-old has previously spent time with FC Clacton and Long Melford, where he began to make his first steps in senior football. Now, he arrives looking to continue his development in a new environment and take the next step in his career.
Makhi is a quick and technically gifted player, he has impressed with his attitude and ability during pre-season, earning his place in the squad ahead of the new campaign. The club were looking for a mixture of youth, energy and experience ahead of the new season.
Johnson-Reid’s addition strengthens the clubs options in the midfield, and we’re excited to see how he develops with us this season.
The young midfielder has trained with the squad throughout pre-season and shown the kind of attitude and work ethic that fits the culture that the management team are building at the club.
Our latest arrival has had four training sessions with the squad since joining from the Suffolk-based club.
When asked about the move, Johnson-Reid said: “I am buzzing to be here! Danny Kedwell has brought me in and I have heard nothing but great things about him so I am happy to be here.”
Makhi will be The Rams number 11 shirt for the 2025/26 season.
