We are thrilled to confirm the signing of Harvey Kedwell, who joins us from Charlton Athletic.
The talented 20-year-old arrives following a 12-year spell at The Addicks, where he progressed through the academy ranks of the League One play-off winners.
Harvey is the son of AFC Wimbledon legend and our First Team Head Coach, Danny Kedwell. Now, the father and son duo will work side by side as Harvey begins an exciting new chapter in familiar surroundings.
Last year, Harvey gained valuable senior experience with a loan move to Dagenham & Redbridge, where he made 17 appearances in the National League between January and July 2024 before returning to his parent club.
Kedwell made an instant impact for Croydon Athletic, scoring just eight minutes into his competitive debut for The Rams. A deft dink over the onrushing Roffey goalkeeper marked his arrival in style, setting the tone for a commanding team performance. His goal opened the scoring in a 3–0 victory over Roffey in the Emirates FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round at Bartholomew Way.
When speaking about his debut goal, Harvey Said: “It’s obviously a good goal to score – for the camp, the cameras. Honestly, I don’t really know what happened. I think I fell over before the ball got to me! It was just a little movement back, David slid me in, and I thought ‘why not?’ Went for it… and now the rest is history really!”
When speaking about the move, Harvey said: “I am excited to join. I cannot wait to get the league season underway! I think we have got a great side, the boys are brilliant on and off the pitch. On Saturday I cannot wait start and kick-off with three points!”
Harvey will wear the number 5 shirt for the 2025/26 campaign and has already taken part in several training sessions with the squad.
Everyone at Croydon Athletic would like to extend a warm welcome to Harvey Kedwell — we’re delighted to have you on board!
